New Express Bus Service X25 direct to The Trafford Centre from Preston, Chorley and Horwich

We are delighted to announce that, effective from Monday 30th January, Stagecoach North West are introducing a new express route from Preston, Chorley and Horwich direct via the M61 and M60 to The Trafford Centre then on to Manchester city centre. Return journeys will start at The Trafford Centre and run via Manchester and Salford University to Horwich, Chorley and Preston.

Withdrawal of services X61 and 556

Effective from Sunday 29th January, both of these services will unfortunately be withdrawn. The new X25 service will provide an alternative bus link from Horwich to The Trafford Centre, and service 68 provides alternative bus links from Bolton, Farnworth, Walkden, Winton, Worsley and Eccles. 

City Centre Express X50 Service Now Runs Every 15 Minutes

We worked closely with Stagecoach Manchester to introduce the half hourly express X50 route in October 2009, in order to offer a fast bus link between The Trafford Centre and Manchester city centre for our visitors and staff.  As a result of the continued success of the X50, the route has been enhanced as follows:

- The frequency is doubled with buses running every 15 minutes, 7 days a week.

- The route is enhanced in Trafford Park, with an additional stop introduced on Trafford Wharf Road, in order to provide a direct bus link between The Trafford Centre and Salford Quays, providing links to the following destinations:

  - MediaCityUK.

  - Imperial War Museum North.

  - The Lowry.

- The early morning weekday service from Piccadilly to The Trafford Centre is enhanced with buses starting more than half an hour earlier.

- Services X50 and 250 combined now provides a bus every 7/8 minutes daily between The Trafford Centre and Manchester Piccadilly.
