In 2009 The Trafford Centre welcomed over 30 million visitors and the number of visitors has increased every year since the Centre opened in 1998.

The catchment area for the Centre is larger and more populous than any other regional shopping centre and comprises 5.3 million people within a 45-minute drive-time.
